Chicago

Chicago, Chicago
you're a sharp razor
stuffed with rude waitress' and car boots,
mean Greyhound buses & a chill to make your veins quit.
Chicago, Chicago
your uptown ain't no better than ya down,
maybe a couple more expensive coats & a few more cheap quoted couples but the downtown got you on cheese. I heard there was a kid once that only ate cheese, nothin' else and he died at fifteen--I heard they buried him in a coffin made of cheese. Anyway, strange story, read it in the paper.
Chicago, Chicago
your trains waddle like metal rhino's,
and your bars reek of Wild Turkey & jazz,
your wino's are all ex-mobsters, still drunk on a bottle of the past.
Chicago, Chicago
do you remember when we wrestled underneath the sheets?
A violent, biting-style-romance. A switch blade "Please" bent & manipulated into "thank you"

Chicago, why'd you never call me back?
